I have a friend that has been going through some hard times. My heart-aches for what she has been going through. I recently made her this little sign.
This friend of mine is so sweet and would do anything for anyone else. She also loves plants … she can grow anything! So recently I bought her a plant and made her this little farmhouse sign. I love this sign. It is something ANYONE can make. All that anyone needs is to print the free printable below. You could even just print the printable below and put it into a frame. Here is how I did it . . .
Supplies:
- Underlayment
- 1″ x 2″ Pine Board
- Wood Stain, Early American
- Free Printable
- 44 Quarters
- Mod Podge
- Foam Brush
- Gorilla Glue, clear-no foam
Step 1: Cut Wood
For this project, I went to Home Depot and found this incredibly lightweight, thin underlayment board (next to the particle boards).
Now cut the underlayment into a 5″ x 7″ rectangle. Cut 2- 5″ frame pieces and 2- 8 1/4″ frame pieces.
Step 2: Stain Wood
I stained the pine board frame with a coat of Early American wood stain.
Step 3: Download & Print
Download the zip file below. It includes a PDF file of the 5×7 printable that you will use for this project. It also includes the PDF file for a 4×6 that can easily be printed and put into a frame.
Step 4: Mod Podge
You will use the same technique here as I did in my Farm Fresh Christmas Tree Sign tutorial.
Step 5: Adhere Frame
You will also use the same technique here as I did in my Farm Fresh Christmas Tree Sign tutorial.
Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!
