Lego Crayon Tags

After I published the post on how to make your own lego crayons. I thought that I would need a cute way to package up those adorable little guys. So I went to work putting together a little tag/label. Here is what I came up with . . .

For my preschool age boys, I came up with a tag, along with a little coloring page. They give a gift to their whole class and I wanted it to have a little message on it. The tricky part is there are so many different holidays celebrated this time of year I didn’t just want to put “Merry Christmas”, I wanted it to have a play on words some how with Legos. So I ended up with, “You make everything Awesome!” {I may or may not of sang the Everything Is Awesome song over and over in my head as I was creating this tag and coloring page.} The best part of this is it can be used for any holiday/gathering (ex: birthday party favors, Valentine’s, Christmas, etc.)

Begin by cutting out the tags and coloring pages. {Free printable downloads of both are found at the bottom of this post.} Then just place the little coloring page and a few crayons into a 4″ x 6″ cellophane gift bag. Fold the lego tag in half, along the black center line, and staple to the top of the gift bag. It’s that easy!

For my Elementary age boy, “we” decided to go without the coloring page; He just wanted to do the tag. I love how both turned out, with or without the coloring page I’m very pleased with how the tag gives the lego crayons a polished look about them. It also helps who receives the little lego guys to know what they are made out of; I would hate for them to think they were candy and try to eat them!
