Large Vinyl Clock

My husband and I have moved MANY times in the 7 years we have been married. Since we have moved so much I have come to only collect home décor that is easy to pack or can be broken down to very small pieces and re-assembled after a move.

That being said, I love large clocks, but don’t want to move those large clocks in fear that they would get broken during the journey. This vinyl clock is perfect for me! I just have to re-cut a few vinyl letters and only have to move 2 hands and the mechanism that holds the battery.

Every few moves I change up what I put in the center of the clock. This time I put “Time spent with family is worth every second”.  I am sure you have seen this on Facebook or Pinterest, but this is my take on it.

Supplies:

I begin by covering up the motor/battery with a star cut out of sturdy card stock and then covered with vinyl so that it will have the same shine as my numbers.  Slide on to the peg that will hold the hands. Place hands on motor and then mount on wall.

If you are interested in cutting your own vinyl like mine. Here is the SVG of my numbers and the SVG of “Time spent with family is worth every second”.

Note: Number font is Mona Lisa Solid. Number size is 2.25″ tall. “Spent with family” and “Is worth every” font is Aquarelle. Time and Second font is Times New Roman. The word TIME is 2.25″ tall.

Now you will measure out from the center of the hands to place the numbers 12, 3, 6 and 9. I have someone, my husband, stand a distance behind me and make sure they are lined up and spaced evenly with the other numbers I have already placed.

Then I place the 11, 1, 5 and 7. Note: You will need help from someone standing a distance behind you the whole time you are placing numbers.

Now begin placing the rest of the numbers; 10, 2, 4 and 8.

After all of the numbers are placed lay the inside words that you have chosen; “Time spent with family is worth every second.” Enjoy!
