Eyebrows

The outside of my eyebrows are thin and wispy and won’t seem to grow in. I usually fill them in a little to help frame my eyes.

Also, when I have darkened my hair, for a little change, I just fill in my eyebrows with a color that matches my new hair so that it looks like my natural hair color. I am hear to tell you that you can easily fill in your eyebrows in less than a minute, after a little practice. Remember the eyebrows are the framework to your eye. You wouldn’t put a beautiful hand-painted, original, oil painting just stuck on the wall not in a frame. You would pick a frame that enhanced the beauty of the piece. I am going to give you a quick way on how to fill-in your eyebrows. Because let’s be honest, most mom’s are lucky if we get a total of 10 minutes to shower, comb our hair and -on rare occasions- put on make-up.

Step 1: Prep Eyebrows

Before you begin, make sure your eyebrow is cleaned up: tweezed or waxed. Note: This step you won’t do everyday, maybe once a week – if that.

Step 2:  Fill-in Eyebrows

Here’s a secret . . . I use eyeshadow to fill in my eyebrows. You are welcome to use an eyebrow pencil, but I don’t have one.  Here is what I do: Apply a little water to your eyebrow brush and press onto the back of your hand to have the water coat all of the bristles.

Pick up the MATTE (no shimmers or glitters) color that matches your eyebrows with the dampened eyebrow brush. The wet brush is key, you don’t want to add dry eyeshadow.

Fill in your eyebrow using thin, hair-like strokes. Don’t just fill in the brow with color!

Notice the thick part of the eyebrow, I have drawn thin, hair-like strokes to resemble my eyebrow hairs.

Fill in the entire eyebrow with these small hair-like strokes.

 Step 3: Comb Eyebrows

Comb your eyebrows up and away from the center with a spoolie (marcara looking wand), eyebrow comb, or just a regular comb like I do.

Step 4: Fix Fly-a-ways

Sometimes the hairs on the outside of my eyebrow stick out funny. I apply a little hairspray to my finger and fix the fly-a-ways.

Step 5: Apply Eye Make-Up

Now apply your eye make-up like normal, but remember to add a light shade under the eyebrow to highlight the eyebrow.

There you go, both eyebrows filled-in in less than a minute!
